Question: What is Bhagavad Dharma and O&O and their connection to Ekam?
Whether you're new to meditation or a long-term bliss bunny, you may be amazed to learn about all the wonderful things you're doing for your brain. This article from Business Insider (surprise!) outlines the latest...
Neuroscience shows that 50-year-olds can have the brains of
25-year-olds if they sit quietly and do nothing for 15 minutes a day
Neuroscientist Sara Lazar, of Mass General and Harvard Medical School, started studying meditation by accident. She sustained running injuries training for the Boston Marathon, and her physical therapist told her to stretch. So Lazar took up yoga.
"The yoga teacher made all sorts of claims, that yoga would increase your compassion and open your heart," said Lazar. "And I'd think, 'Yeah, yeah, yeah, I'm here to stretch.' But I started noticing that I was calmer. I was better able to handle more difficult situations. I was more compassionate and open hearted, and able to see things from others' points of view."
Eventually, she looked up the scientific literature on mindfulness meditation (a category into which yoga can fall). She found the ever-increasing body of evidence that shows that meditation decreases stress, depression, and anxiety, reduces pain and insomnia, and increases quality of life.
So she started doing some neuroscience research of her own...
If you think spirituality & American politics rarely mix, you're not alone. But if you also believe that we are all connected and you wish to transition our world into a golden age of love and compassion, you owe it to yourself to realize that politics affect everything in our country - and then tune into the long-shot campaign for President of the USA of famed author, frequent Oprah guest, and spiritual teacher Marianne Williamson. She has the largest social media following of any candidate so far, so you can easily find her online, and CNN hosted a televised Town Hall with her on April 14th.
Tho she is unlikely to be elected, Marianne has a very strong possibility of elevating our national politics simply by being included in the televised Democratic candidate debates beginning in June on NBC. Imagine a political conversation about "What would Love do?" in the face of the multiple challenges facing our nation and planet...
The only requirement is for her to receive donations from 65,000 individuals across the country by the end of May - and she's currently most of the way there! If you would like to contribute (even as little as $1) to make sure this miracle happens, please click here.
UPDATE: Marianne succeeded on May 9th. Awesome!
In light of the ongoing confusion in the Oneness community, Sri AmmBhagavan have issued a new statement on the unity of O&O and the "Bhagavad Dharma" path (created in 2018). They are affirming that everyone is free to follow either or both paths, or any path for that matter. Here is the statement:
"Deeksha" is a sanskrit word for blessing or initiation. As such, deeksha has existed for thousands of years as a means of communicating the divine grace to humanity.
There has been some confusion in the Oneness Community over Hands On Oneness Deeksha recently. If Deeksha were human it might quote the famous line, "Rumors of my death have been greatly exaggerated.":) Hands On Oneness Deeksha is alive and well throughout the San Diego area and the United States.
Here is a December 2018 statement from Sri Bhagavan's son, Krishnaji, who was the first person to give what is now known as the Oneness Blessing/ Deeksha:
Sri Bhagavan: "You do not experience reality because your mind is all the time interfering. In reality there can be no suffering, because when you experience reality as it is, there is only joy, bliss, and love, no matter what it is. Mind is all the time criticizing and commenting…..
Q: Why should I forgive if the other person is wrong?
SRI BHAGAVAN :
" If you cannot forgive a person, you will be ruining yourself. Forgive the other person not for their sake, but for your own good.
Most of your problems in the external world arise because of your hurts. A hurt inside can cause an external problem. If you don't forgive, you carry the other person inside, and the other person is controlling your life, though he is physically far away from you....

Deeksha is an ancient phenomenon through which spiritual (or subtle electrical) energy (aka grace) is transferred from one human being to another. In the past, this was a rare event usually only granted by a spiritual master to a long-dedicated devotee. What makes Oneness Deeksha unique is that the founders of Oneness University, Sri AmmaBhagavan, found a way to make it possible for thousands of ordinary human beings to transfer this energy to each other, after taking a brief transformative course and receiving an initiation as a Oneness Blessing giver.
Here is the beautiful story of this breakthrough in Deeksha as it was originally revealed to the western world. Enjoy!
As we look around at all the recent natural disasters and wonder what we can do to help the many people who are suffering, here is a very simple opportunity...
